I’m proud to have recently secured nearly $10.2 million in federal funding to upgrade critical infrastructure at the Port of Red Wing. Red Wing Grain purchases soybeans and corn from over 1,200 farmers across the city of Red Wing and ships over 500 river barges of grain per year.

Earlier this year, the Trump Admin deported my constituent, Kenis Lopez Gonzalez — an immigrant from Nicaragua who fled political violence — to the Central African Republic. Kenis is a business owner and had a work permit as well as a court order preventing his deportation.

The Appleton private prison ICE recently purchased from CoreCivic was originally up for sale for $75M. ICE bought it for $495.6M. Conveniently, CoreCivic also contributed to Trump’s inauguration.

This is yet another example of this admin’s corrupt self-dealing.

I joined my MN colleagues urging FEMA to end prolonged delays to federal disaster funding for Minnesotans. Our state needs and deserves prompt federal assistance in the wake of natural disasters – I'm pushing FEMA to remove this burdensome red tape immediately.

Election day is less than a week away and now is the time to make your plan to vote.

Minnesotans are tired of President Trump’s politically motivated threats against our state and our state’s leaders.

Political violence is at an all time high and this is extremely dangerous rhetoric. Every Republican should condemn these lies, especially here in Minnesota.

The Trump Admin is again refusing to cooperate in the investigation into Renee Good and Alex Pretti’s deaths. MN has been through enough. The Admin needs to hand over the evidence, cooperate with state officials and give the Pretti & Good families the accountability, justice & closure they deserve.

Setting our kids up for success starts with early education. That’s exactly what Head Start provides.

I recently met with the Libets family, who settled in CD2 after escaping the war in Ukraine. My team helped them with their visa application when they first arrived in MN as refugees. I’ll always work to support my Ukrainian constituents. To the Libets family: I’m so glad we could help.

It was great to see the MN Biofuels Association in my Eagan office on Friday. I’ve been named their “Biofuels Bulldog”!

MN lost 32K jobs and $700M in wages to Operation Metro Surge. Let that sink in. Trump’s ICE left a mark on our state that we will feel for generations—psychologically, emotionally and economically. It’s time to pass our Make ICE Pay Act and reimburse MN for the damages ICE inflicted on our economy.

My heart is broken for those impacted by yesterday’s shooting at Silver Rail Elementary. As mothers and grandmothers, Cheryl and I are praying for the families and loved ones of the three children and one teacher who were killed yesterday, as well as the two individuals who were injured.

Inflation shot up to 3.7% in September (a four-month high) and you know it’s bad when even FOX News is calling President Trump’s economy a mess.

This presidency is a complete failure. It’s time to change course and make life affordable again.
